Jolocom GmbH
I was called on to breathe native English and editorial expertise into the dry tech content of Berlin software developer Jolocom. They're among the leading experts in self-sovereign identity and access management.

Having got my head around their highly specialised field, I developed a content strategy and tone of voice for them that would work for Jolocom's audience of bureaucrats, business people and developers.

From there I grew a consistent voice for all Jolocom’s output, from in-app copy and long form blogs to social and SEO strategies.
RetireWise for Key Group
RetireWise is the customer magazine of equity release advisers Key and the centrepiece of my freelance content consultancy for the company.

I launched it, working closely with the company’s in-house copywriting, design, product and compliance staff.
While defining, creating and setting the magazine’s tone and style I oversaw a review of the company’s content strategy across digital and social, advertorial and other channels. I also helped recruit the company’s new content team and devised, from scratch, brand and channel style guides and tone of voice documents.
Fremantle
I've been contributing to international television production and distribution house Fremantle's magazines for more than five years, ever since they were launched. For this issue of The Word, I wrote the cover story among others.

Produced in print and digitally to support the sales team during the twice-yearly international markets in Cannes, the brief has always to been to put reader engagement first.

Tasked with making interviews with producers read as engagingly as celebrity profiles, every issue has been both a challenge and a pleasure. It's always a joy to be asked back.

Virgin Media for Redwood
Working for Redwood, I devised, launched and edited electric! online, Virgin Media’s digital customer magazine and its successor, Virgin Media Presents.
Delivered by email, both titles were sent to two million opted-in customers.

These e-zines served up a pot pourri of entertaining features and innovative editorial devices, meeting the client’s brief of growing awareness of the breadth of content available on its service and giving easily understood customer support.
